About the Principal
Guok Ngek Seong has more than 25 years of post-qualification experience. He commenced his legal career with one of the prominent civil and criminal litigation lawyer as a pupil. He subsequently continued to be a young lawyer under the guidance and supervision of the said prominent lawyer and now a former Court of Appeal Judge for a about 6 years before commencing his own practice. He continues to upgrade his advocacy skills by being involved as co-counsels alongside with many prominent lawyers in Malaysia.
His current practice areas are in both criminal and civil litigation. For criminal cases, he has wide knowledge and experience conducting criminal defence in cases involving Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001. He has recently managed to assist clients in removing Interpol Red Notice.
He has also wide knowledge and experience in handling various civil cases ranging from securities litigation, contractual and shareholders’ disputes, tort, partnership disputes. He has acted as counsel and co-counsel in various civil and criminal cases including some high profile and public interest cases.
